Health monitoring

The health monitoring of laboratory animals is one of the basic points in prevention and spread of infections among these animals. Health monitoring provides information about the health status of breeding colonies of laboratory animals and allows the production of healthy animals, in which the results of the experiment are unaffected by undesirable organisms.

In our laboratory, we perform health monitoring programmes according to FELASA (Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations) recommendations from 2014. These programmes are divided into Quarterly and Annually. In addition, we also offer expanded programmes Large and Global for our customers, or special programmes on customer's order.

A diagnostics is performed on samples collected at autopsy or sent samples. Samples are analyzed by using serological, bacteriological, parasitological, histological and molecular biological methods. In addition to complete health monitoring with autopsy, we also offer an alternative in form of PCR profiles or a combination of serological and PCR profiles. If you require more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
