Company profile

AnLab was established in Prague in September 1992 and its main aim was to contribute to a quality of laboratory animals used in biomedical research. This activity included a distribution of defined laboratory rodents and rabbits to scientific and research institutions and diagnostic services (serology, bacteriology, parasitology, pathology and histology) in laboratory rodents and rabbits.

Currently, AnLab is an independent specialized veterinary laboratory focused on diagnostics of infectious diseases and undesirable organisms in laboratory rodents and rabbits. We perform health monitoring according to FELASA (Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations) recommendations or customized programmes.

We offer independent diagnostic services performed by experienced specialists using modern equipment. In addition we also offer „door to door“ service and transport of laboratory rodents and rabbits on customer's order. Our customers are scientific and research institutions from European and other countries.

AnLab also distributes laboratory rodents and rabbits from company ENVIGO and TACONIC, laboratory animal diets from ssniff Spezialdiäten GmbH, bedding from JELU-WERK and ABEDD, and equipment for research and laboratory animal breeding from Plexx to scientific and research institutions in Czech and Slovak Republic.

AnLab is a certified company according to CSN EN ISO 9001:2016 for laboratory diagnostics in laboratory animals. We are a part of the evaluation program for diagnostic laboratories ICLAS. All laboratory activities are performed according to standard operating procedures.

AnLab is registered under identification No. 45796301 Part C, file 11522 at the Municipal court in Prague. The company is also registered at the State veterinary service (approval number CZ 11760342) and is the owner of the authorisation certificate for animal transport (CZ 11906108).

All activities involving laboratory animals are carried out in accordance with Act No. 246/1992 Coll., on the protection of animals against cruelty, as amended, and Decree No. 419/2012 Coll., on the protection of experimental animals, and Act No. 78/2004 Coll., on the use of genetically modified organisms and genetic products.
