Diagnostics

Diagnosis of infectious diseases is based on the detection of undesirable microorganisms, which can adversely affect the health of laboratory animals. We perform this diagnosis using serological, bacteriological, parasitological, histological and molecular-diagnostic methods. Our ELISA and IFA serological methods, used primarily to detect antibodies against viral agents. The detection and identification of undesirable bacteria is based on cultivation and subsequent typing using the MALDI-TOF method, Sequencing. Coprological and microscopic examination is used to identify ectoparasites and endoparasites. Histology is used in case of the presence of macroscopic lesions on organs during autopsy. Using molecular diagnostic methods, PCR and real-time PCR, we can directly detect DNA or RNA of a wide range of infectious agents.
